Vixta, Windows kullanıcılarını açık kaynak kodlu işletim sistemine çekmeyi görev edinmiş bir Linux dağıtımı. Geliştiriciler bunu özellikle Vixta ile Vista arasında güçlü bir benzer görsellik oluşturarak yapmak istiyorlar.

Vixta yapımcıları kullanıcı dostu olan ve kolayca konfigüre edilebilen bir Linux geliştirmek istiyorlar. Bu yolla güçlü bir yayılma dalgasını hedefliyorlar.
